Having operated for a period of 40 years...33 as Carter Brothers Realty, the company in 1994 became Carter Real Estate and Auction Company, the name under which it now operates. John M. Carter is the principal broker and owner of the company and he began his real estate career in 1964. Carter Real Estate is unique in that it is a diversified company, serving its constituents in the fields of private residential, commercial, business and farm sales. In addition to the private sales of property, Carter Real Estate operates a widely-known and efficient auction company with four licensed auctioneers. The company is composed of two licensed brokers, four licensed affiliate brokers, a secretary/bookkeeper and other personnel, in addition to four licensed auctioneers. The company is a member of the Northeast Tennessee Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Our staff is composed of native Greene Countians, who are experienced and qualified in the efficient handling of listings, sales and in the closing of real estate transactions.
